Tips And Tricks For Creating Your Science Fair Poster Board Display
Your experiment is done. You gathered the data and evaluated the results. Now it is time to create an attractive and professional display board.
Here are some tips so it doesn't take hours to finish.
1. Keep it clean and simple. It should not look cluttered. Stay away from the glitter. You want to make sure you stick to what is required and not a lot of extras.
2. Use only 2-3 colors on the board. This goes back to tip 1. Too many colors will make it look cluttered. You want the experiment to be the highlight.
4. Attach papers and pictures with rubber cement. Rubber cement is very forgiving. If you make a mistake it is easy to peel it off. The glue can also be rubbed off the board if any leaks through.
5. Choose simple labels that are easy to read. A title and label template can guide you to make it unique to your project. Try this Editable Title and Label Template.
It will guide you step by step and save lots of time. It is perfect for the little ones that need some extra help.
7. Layout everything with poster putty or painter's tape before gluing. We learned this tip from a parent. Just use a small piece to hold it on your board while you make sure everything fits.
Example Pictures to have
- 1 of each test performed in the observation section.
- A picture of the supplies used.
- 1-2 pictures of an exciting part in the experiment.
Now that the board is done it is time to practice the presentation. Good luck and Have fun!
